I saw this book tag on a couple of other blogs (@TheReadingHobbit , @theorang-utanlibrarian , @BookishlyBrittknee ) and thought it would be good fun to do… Especially with Avengers: Endgame coming out in less than a month!
Anyway, as I said, I wasn’t tagged in this one by anyone, but here goes:
Iron Man – a book that made you laugh out loud:
Anything by Bill Bryson is always good for a laugh! My personal favourite is A Walk in the Woods.
Captain America – a book that sends a positive message:
The Hobbit! It’s a great tale about the power of friendships, and loyalty and courage. All good values.
Thor – a book with a character’s strength you admire:
The mental strength and courage of Mehr and Amun in Tasha Suri’s Empire of Sand is certainly worthy of respect. Their loyalty to each other, their friends and their people, and general desire to do the right thing is impressive, so yeah, them.
Black Widow – a book with a kick-ass female protagonist:
The Bear and the Nightingale. Vasya is a brilliant female lead. She is strong-willed, caring, brave and best of all, doesn’t take any sh*t from anybody!
Hulk – a book that made you incredibly angry:
A hard one, but I really didn’t get on with The Smoke Thieves by Sally Green. I hated pretty much all the characters bar Tash and Gravell. I DNF’d this one pretty quickly.
Hawkeye – an underrated book you think more people should pay attention to:
The Grey Bastards by Johnathan French. I didn’t expect to love this book, but it is possibly one of my favourite reads this year so far. I can’t recommend it t enough people!
*BONUS* Loki – a book with a twist or surprise that tricked you:
No spoilers, but I didn’t see the ending of Skyward by Brandon Sanderson coming. Well parts of it anyway. I don’t want to say anymore really…

Hope you enjoyed reading this! As a quick aside, who is your favourite Avenger? I like Thor best. Let me know in the comments!
