Hi everyone! Just a quick post today.
Now, the more astute amongst you may have noticed that over the last few months a certain type of post has disappeared from my blog: monthly TBRs. These were actually quite popular posts so I thought I have better explain why I am no longer making them. After all, stop making a popular post? Seems crazy right?
Yes! Well, objectively anyway. But I am not going to do them, still. Here is why:
Yes. Fun.
This blog is a hobby, it is something I do to share my passion and opinions, and blow off some steam. And you know what, I didn’t find having a TBR relaxing or enjoyable. I felt silly/ a bit of a failure if I had the same book on the next months TBR. Plus, I have discovered that I am a total mood reader. It took me a while to pick up The ToyMakers because I didn’t feel like reading it and my TBR just made me feel a bit pressured about it.
Anyway, there is my quick update. I may do a monthly round up post, though. That might be quite fun. We’ll see.
Have a good day!
Jack
Uhh, I’m against TBR’s as well, but I love making Monthly Goals. It’s just enough structure without actually being daunting 😀

That sounds like a good idea! The structure gives you something to work towards, I guess. Is it stuff like, ‘read 3 books’ or ‘read at least one non-fiction book’?

Yeah, exactly. I also sometimes try to add something like “Read mostly ARCs” or “Read book of a certain genre” (if I feel like it) 😀
