The Christmas Book Blogger Tag!

Copy of Book Review (22)

Hi Everyone!

So, it is nearly Christmas… Only one more night to go guys! Everyone else excited too? Fingers crossed that you get to spend some great time with family and friends, and that Santa brings everything you wish for!

And since it is Christmas Eve, what better time to do a Christmas book blog tag? I was very kindly tagged in this one a week or so ago by Alex over at WhimsyPages. Make sure you go check out her fantastic answers and the rest of he blog! Makes mine seem very amateur! πŸ˜†

Oh, and this tag was originally created by Between My Lines.

Anyway, here are my answers!
πŸŽ„What Is Your Favourite Christmas Scene In A Book?πŸŽ„

christmas hogwarts

I’m sure this shouldn’t be a hard question, but I am not sure I have actually read many Christmas scenes, so I am going to have to go for the Christmas scenes in Harry Potter. Hogwarts sounds amazing at Christmas time!

πŸŽ„Do You Have Any Christmas Book Traditions?πŸŽ„

Nothing too fancy really, but my mum always makes a big ham on Christmas Eve, and then the traditional Turkey on Christmas Day. Then on Boxing Day, she makes a big turkey & ham pie, and readers, it is always amazing! I look forward to it every year!
πŸŽ„Do You Prefer To Get Presents Of Book Vouchers Or Books?

I know a book voucher would mean you can actually just pick the book you want, which is great! But a book would mean they put more thought into the present, so an actual book for me!
πŸŽ„Do You Give Books As Presents?πŸŽ„

Weirdly, I don’t do this much. Not everyone I know reads much (shock horror!) and sometimes, I think it makes it look like I haven’t put much effort into the present. So unless it really is the perfect book for them, then no.

πŸŽ„What Bookish Item Is On Your Christmas Wishlist?πŸŽ„

Hmmm… The whole Witcher series of books? Please? Or a nice illustrated copy of The Hobbit/Lord of the Rings. I dunno, I actually would prefer some stuff for rock climbing this year! But that isn’t very book bloggerly of me!

sorry
πŸŽ„What 3 Books Would You Love Santa To Have In His Sack For You?πŸŽ„

I guess I kind of answered this one in the last post, didn’t I! Oops!!!
πŸŽ„Fake Christmas Tree Or Real Christmas Tree?πŸŽ„

Definitely a real tree guy! It just feels right. Though, I guess |I might get a fake one for the environment… Seems like the responsible thing to do! Bah Humbug! πŸ˜†

πŸŽ„What’s Your Favourite Thing About Christmas?πŸŽ„

All the food! Specifically the sit down meals with your friends and family. Can’t beat spending time with great people and eating great food, can you?
πŸŽ„What Christmas Book Would You Recommend?πŸŽ„

jolly postman xmas

Oooooh… embarrassing confession coming up. I don’t know if I have read many actual Christmas books so I’m gonna have to go for The Jolly Postman at Christmas as I read it to my daughter and it is quite fun and silly.
πŸŽ„What Dish On Your Christmas Menu Are You Most Looking Forward To?πŸŽ„

Pigs in Blankets!!! Give me my meat wrapped in meat! But seriously, this is a really hard one because Roast Potatoes, Honey Roasted Parsnips and Carrots, Smoked Salmon for breakfast on Christmas Day, Turkey & Ham Pie that I mentioned earlier. How can I choose! Or Ginger Bread Men? The choices!!!
πŸŽ„When Do You Open Your Christmas Presents?πŸŽ„

Christmas morning for me! I know some people like to do it Christmas Eve, or in the afternoon, or one on Christmas Eve and the rest in the morning – and I don’t want to judge – but you’re all wrong!

πŸŽ„What’s Your Favourite Christmas Song?πŸŽ„

I’ve been doing these on my Music Mondays posts this month! (Shameless plug right there)

Mine is Christmas Time (Don’t Let The Bells End) by The Darkness or Fairy Tale of New York by The Pogues.

πŸŽ„Are You Dreaming Of A White Christmas?πŸŽ„

Well obviously! Who doesn’t!? Australians, I guess? The Southern Hemisphere really screws with the chances of a White Christmas.

So there you have it… My answers to The Christmas Book Blogger Tag!

I’m not gonna tag anyone as it is sooooo nearly Christmas Eve, and people won’t want to do Christmas book tags after. But if you do want to, then go ahead and have fun!

Hope you enjoyed them, and Merry Christmas!
